"So Sam, who do you think is the hottest psychic -- Patricia Arquette, Jennifer Love Hewitt, or you?" Dean to Sam on "Supernatural." Thanks to Bekah and Ken for the quote.

"Give this new anchor team for 'Nightline' a fair break. If you don't, I promise you the network will just put another comedy show in this timeslot and then you'll be sorry." Ted Koppel signing off on his final "Nightline."

"I was reading 'The 3rd Wheel: A Beginner's Guide.' We should come up with, like some kind of code word for when you guys are feeling frisky." Logan to Veronica and Duncan on "Veronica Mars."

"Taylor Townsend? In the fourth grade she campaigned against making the school handicap accessible. She said it was reverse Darwinism." Seth about Taylor on "The O.C." Thanks to Dean for sending in that quote and helping me break my silent treatment. From what I hear Taylor is a great addition to "The O.C." Agree or disagree?

So we were all traumatized to see Brittany Snow, sweet Meg Pryor on "American Dreams," as Matt's white supremacist girl friend on "Nip/Tuck." But did you recognize Hallee Hirsch, Mark's daughter Rachel on "ER" and Mattie on "JAG," as the girl getting her sweet sixteen nose job?

Brian Kerwin has been everywhere lately. He's like this year's Tracy Middendorf. We recently saw Kerwin, CJ's college boyfriend on "The West Wing" and Rob on "Beggars and Choosers," as the opponent to the DA on "Medium." Last week, he played the patient coming out of a 16-year coma on "Grey's Anatomy" and Ariel's father on "Nip/Tuck." Thanks to Ken and Ritchie for recognizing this familiar face and I'm going to go ahead and put Kerwin in the "so deserves his own show" file.

Kenny recognized John Shea was the murderer on "Medium" (by the way, my 3-D glasses didn't work that well, how about you?). Shea was Lex Luthor on "Lois &Clark: the New Adventures of Superman" and Adam Kane on "Mutant X." Mercedes remembered that Shea was Dominic, Samatha's first true love on "Sex & the City."

Alexandra recognized Marshall's parents on "How I Met Your Mother." Bill Fagerbakke, Dauber on "Coach" and the voice of Patrick on "SpongeBob Squarepants" was his father. Suzie Plakson, Robert's ex-wife on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and Joan on "Mad About You" was his mother.

You know I haven't really spoken about the recent announcement that this season would be the last for "7th Heaven" (Monday, WB, 8 p.m.). It's a little thing I like to call denial. I simply can't imagine TV without the Camden clan. Even as the original Camdens were replaced by Camden wannabes (let's be honest Martin is a second generation version of Robbie) and the plots continued to repeat themselves (how many times has premarital sex lead to pregnancy or a pregnancy scare?) I remained bizarrely fascinated with the show. There's talk of a spin-off show next season. Who would you spin off? Lucy and Kevin? Simon and Sandy (come on you know that's the direction the show is going). Or Happy the dog? Talk about it on the TV Gal message boards.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar joins the cast of "Commander In Chief" (Tuesday, ABC, 9 p.m.) as hot shot media consultant "Dickie" McDonald. I'm patiently waiting for this show to become the series I know new executive producer Stephen Bochco can make it.

First of all, I was positively sobbing when Bernard and Rose and Jin and Sun reunited. If I ever need to have a cathartic moment, I'll play that scene. Secondly, I gotta tell you that Ana Lucia is getting on my last nerve. Unlike all the other castaways on "Lost" (Wednesday, ABC, 9 p.m.), I have absolutely no sympathy for her. Part of it may stem from Michelle Rodriguez's fairly one note performance. AL's only emotion seems to be anger. Perhaps things will change this week, when the island's two ring leaders, Ana Lucia and Jack, meet face to face. Also we'll find out exactly what Kate did that made her a wanted criminal.

Rick Springfield reprises his role of Dr. Noah Drake on "General Hospital" Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC. I wanna tell him that I still love him but the point is probably moot. Oh, come on, you didn't expect to not make that joke did you?

"Monk" returns with a special episode entitled "Mr. Monk and the Secret Santa" premiering Friday at 10 p.m. on USA. It's worth it just to see Monk dressed up as a mall Santa Claus.

Okay. we finally got Lily to change her hairstyle on "Cold Case" (Sunday, CBS, 8 p.m.) and then Jennifer Love Hewitt comes along with her ridiculous bouffant on "Ghost Whisperer." (Friday, CBS, 8 p.m.).

Carlos wants to become a missionary on "Desperate Housewives" (Sunday, ABC, 9 p.m.). Did you have any sympathy for Gabrielle and her miscarriage? One of the biggest side effects of so inconsistently and haphazardly writing Gabrielle, is that I don't believe her when she's sad.

"Sleeper Cell" premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. on Showtime. I've seen the first two episodes and I have to tell you the show was not what I expected -- at all. I really liked it. After you've watched it, let me know what you think.

has two more episodes before it goes on hiatus for Jennifer Garner's maternity leave ("Dancing with the Stars" will air in the time slot starting in January). ABC is giving it back its post "Lost" time slot beginning Dec. 7. David Anders is back as Sark on Dec. 7 and Michael Vartan is back as Vaughn on Dec. 14. Alas, it seems as if Vaughn is only a figment of Syd's imagination when she is kidnapped and put into a hypnotic state. My plan of action on how to deal with "Alias" is that I'm clinging to the idea that once the show returns with a non-pregnant Syd, all these new characters will fade into the background and Syd will be back to her spy kicking ways. Adam Goldberg will play Joey's best friend from high school on We all know the problem with this right? Adam had a recurring gig as Chandler's scary roommate in season two of "Friends."

Look for Jake's drug problems to become worse on as Delia becomes one of the popular girls and Ephram pines for Amy who now only thinks of him as a friend. Here's hoping that Char, Claude, Jul, and O stop by to help Jake out.

And since I've ended my vow of silence, I'll tell you that Seth and Summer are going to try to get into Brown on while Johnny will confess that he thinks of Marissa as -- that's right -- much more than just a friend. And I can't believe we haven't talked about this yet since we've been predicting this ever since they shipped Marissa's younger sister off to boarding school. In a classic soap opera move, Kaitlin will return to "The O.C." and word is that she's a mini-Julie Cooper. Hmmm ... will she try to sleep with Marissa's boyfriend too?

That's all for today. I'll be back next week with the first the Best of 2005 column -- the 10 best characters on television (can you guess which character on "Lost" makes the list?). Coming in December the best shows, the best moments, the best quotes and the best of everything television. Have a question, seen a familiar face, have an inside scoop or want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at amytvgal@zap2it.com by clicking on my byline at the top of my column.
